In this full-time hourly position, you will: Be responsible for following product test procedures, equipment operation and sound safety practices to perform environmental tests on production and development hardware. These tests include Environmental Stress Screening, temperature shock and cycling, vibration, shock, temperature and humidity, jolt, jumble, five foot drop, centrifuge and other miscellaneous environmental tests. Work with engineers, technicians and program managers to coordinate testing, report results and address issues and failures. Set up and program data acquisition and environmental test equipment. Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning mechanical, electro-mechanical and electronic test equipment. Perform calibration and routine preventive maintenance of equipment. Set up and program data acquisition and environmental test equipment. Work autonomously on assignments requiring judgment and initiative. Use knowledge and experience to resolve issues. Work Environment and Physical Demands: Hands on position that requires the use of a wide array of hand tools and electrical instruments. Work performed in an office and production environment with people in close proximity and in an engineering design, development, and test environment laboratory with exposure to noise from machines, which may require certain protective equipment such as goggles and ear plugs. Will be on your feet majority of the day setting up and testing hardware while reaching into test chambers. Proficiency with PCs and Microsoft Office applications is needed. Duties may require being on call periodically and working outside of normal working hours. May be required to lift/move up to 100 lbs., with assistance
