About The Position

We are seeking a Manufacturing Technician A to join our team at Stennis Space Center, MS. Entry-level support individual contributor. Work is closely supervised. Detailed instructions are provided and close peer review is required. Comprehends and interprets a variety of technical specifications, terms and documents. Determines and/or follow methods and sequence of operations in performing engine assembly.

Requirements

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent with 0 to 3 years of prior related experience.

Work well independently, as well as in a team environment.
Have good communication skills and demonstrate good attention to detail during performance of roles and responsibilities.
The ability to operate computers and special software associated with graphical user interfaces are preferred.

Responsibilities

Follow established processes to complete tasks.
Accurately complete necessary forms and reports related to the manufacturing process.
Support safety initiatives and adhere to 5S+1 standards
Work may require the ability to operate material handling equipment (forklift, crane, hoist, man lift, etc.) in a safe manner.
Must be willing and able to travel up to 10% as required.
Work at heights and in confined areas.
Learn and follow detailed processes associated with the operation and maintenance of large-scale rocket engine test facilities.
Pass an eye exam and certifications such as confined spaced entry, respirator, lock out- tag out, cryogenic safety, process safety management, etc.
Must be willing to work all shifts and weekends.
Ability to obtain and maintain NASA Personnel Reliability Program (PRP) security clearance.
