About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Manufacturing Technician to join our client's team located near New Lebanon, NY. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, finishing, and polishing composite parts used in medical components. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to follow precise instructions, and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to follow detailed verbal and written instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality results.
• Ability to recognize and correct unacceptable parts.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Effective teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience with finishing, sanding, or polishing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Finish carbon fiber surfaces directly from molds.
• Prepare parts through sanding with multiple grits to achieve proper surface quality.
• Apply epoxy resin, followed by finish sanding and polishing.
• Perform ply cutting, gel coating, and composite lay-up.
• Trim and finish parts to specification.
• Maintain quality standards by inspecting parts and identifying defects.
• Follow standard operating procedures, work instructions, and drawings.
• Carry out additional job-related duties as needed.
