About The Position

As a Manufacturing Technician at Motif Neurotech, you will play a critical hands-on role in building the devices that bring our neurotechnology to life. You will be directly involved in the precise assembly of small-scale medical device components, contributing to products that are designed to improve and transform patients’ lives. In this role, you will perform detailed assembly work using microscopes and precision tools, following established work instructions to complete delicate and highly controlled processes. Your attention to detail will be essential as you conduct in-process inspections and testing to ensure every component meets our quality standards. As part of a collaborative manufacturing team, you will work closely with engineering and manufacturing partners to troubleshoot issues, suggest improvements, and provide feedback that helps refine work instructions, tooling, and processes. This position offers the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to both current production and the ongoing development of our manufacturing capabilities as we scale. Requirements

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience assembling fine electronic components in a manufacturing environment or in a school laboratory.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under microscopes with small parts and assemblies.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Experience following documented procedures and completing records accurately.
  • To be available to work onsite in our Houston, Texas office for all shifts (40 hours per week).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in medical device manufacturing under ISO 13485 or FDA regulations.
  • Background in cleanroom assembly practices.
  • Familiarity with adhesives, soldering, or other fine assembly techniques.
  • Experience with electronic assemblies, testing, or troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble small-scale medical device components and follow detailed work instructions.
  • Work under microscopes and with precision tools to complete fine assembly tasks.
  • Conduct in-process inspections and testing to ensure product quality.
  • Maintain accurate records of assembly steps, inspections, and material traceability.
  • Assist with incoming material receiving, labeling, and controlled storage.
  • Operate within our quality management system, ensuring compliance with ISO and FDA regulations.
  • Support process development by providing feedback on work instructions and tooling.
  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to troubleshoot and improve assembly processes.
