The Manufacturing Technician plays a critical role in supporting the production team by maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving manufacturing equipment and processes. This position involves working closely with engineers and production staff to ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely while maintaining high-quality production output.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or technician role.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair machinery.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
  • Experience in electronics, machining, or precision assembly environments.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency and product quality.
  • Work from engineering drawings, work instructions, and schematics to perform technical tasks related to production.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment, and report issues that require further engineering support or repair.
  • Inspect products and components for defects, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve manufacturing issues.
  • Assist in training production staff on new equipment, processes, or procedures as needed.
  • Document work performed, including maintenance logs, process adjustments, and quality issues.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and actively participate in workplace safety initiatives.
