Position/Location Specific Information Manufacturing Technician ll, AO DPM, 1st Shift M – F 630-300 This position is based out of our Grand Island, NY site within BioProduction Group. What will you do? Use of equipment that includes mixers, mills, blenders, pumps, filtration systems, packaging, and laboratory equipment. Weigh, measure, and check raw materials with the assistance of a computer interface to ensure batches manufactured contain accurate materials and quantities. Calibrate and operate manual, semi-automated, and automated manufacturing equipment. Identify and conduct basic troubleshooting equipment. Follow all safe practices, policies, standard operating procedures, and work instructions in controlled environments up to and including classified clean rooms. Complete and maintain compliance with the Quality Management Systems and regulatory requirements. Complete moderately complex tasks related to the manufacturing of cell culture media. Perform related duties as required to meet business goals and requirements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of work experience in a manufacturing, operations, production, lab setting or related field
  • General understanding of technical, mechanical, and machinery equipment is preferred.
  • Basic computer skills are required.
  • Strong attention to detail for complex instructions and documentation while maintaining quality output.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in multiple processes in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Perform basic math, verbal, written, and oral communication with team.
  • Ability to push, pull, lift, and move up to 45 pounds and may be required to stand for extended periods of time while performing duties.
  • Ability to squat, bend, and reach different items to complete assigned tasks.
  • Ability to wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including work uniform, steel toe shoes, hair net, beard guard (when required), safety glasses, and gloves. PPE may also include a bump cap, face shield, and full/half-face respirators.
  • Availability to work overtime and flexible shift patterns.

Nice To Haves

  • Formal training in Lean, 5S, or manufacturing processes is preferred.
  • Experience in a cGMP environment
