A Day in the Life In this exciting role as a Manufacturing Technician II supporting Connectors Manufacturing, you will have responsibility for supporting manufacturing of high-quality components used in implantable medical devices. The Brooklyn Center facility supports the design, development, and production of components used in implantable devices for a variety of Medtronic businesses. The core responsibilities of this role is maintaining equipment uptime, driving targeted KPIs, completing preventive maintenance and supporting other continuous improvement initiatives. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned. Requirements

  • Requires minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Requires high school diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with injection molding presses and troubleshooting common molded part defects
  • Experience working with operations and understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Experience working in regulated environments (FDA, ISO).
  • Previous medical device manufacturing experience.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot manufacturing issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documentation and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ability to work effectively individually and as part of a team.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Two-year technical degree.

Responsibilities

  • Devises, fabricates, installs, tests, and repairs mechanical equipment and systems involving the movement of physical components in the manufacturing area.
  • Assisting engineers with developing technical solutions related to the operation and performance of devices and systems.
  • Installs, repairs, and upgrades components of mechanical devices and systems in the manufacturing area.
  • Devises, fabricates, and assembles new or modified mechanical components for machinery and equipment.
  • Conducts quality assurance/control tests and procedures.
