JOB DESCRIPTION: The Opportunity Abbott Molecular Our Des Plaines, IL site has an opportunity for a Manufacturing Technician I - within its Manufacturing Operations Unit. 1st Shift: 6am -2:30pm What You'll Do: Operates a variety of basic production equipment in order to complete assigned work orders and meet scheduled production requirements. Works as a member of the manufacturing team to fill reagent vials, and assemble kits and/or operate service center equipment. Inspects finished product to ensure basic quality criteria are met. Responsible for documenting work that is performed. Learning basic manufacturing operations and demonstrating the ability to work in an FDA regulated environment in a timely manner. Executing assigned work activities accurately and completely. Documenting activities in an accurate, timely and complete manner. Working safely and in accordance with all applicable policies and procedures. Understanding job training requirements and ensuring that training is conducted on time. Identifying product defects when they exist.

Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Must be proficient navigating through the Microsoft operating system.
  • Must have basic math skills.
  • Must have communication skills that include the ability to speak, read, and write with the English language.
  • Must display good documentation skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree or lab experience highly preferred.
