About The Position

Prinsco is looking for a driven Manufacturing Tech Lead in our Chatsworth IL location! This position is for 2nd shift (2:55PM-11:00PM). Hands-on supervisor with strong mechanical skills and experience operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting industrial machinery. The ideal candidate will lead by example, ensuring efficient production processes and equipment reliability.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required, or in process of completion with a minimum of six months of manufacturing or production experience, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Experienced in or the ability to learn electrical knowledge for this job required under NFPA 70E electrical standard.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram forms.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Maintain a valid state auto driver’s license.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds consistently, 50 pounds 1/3 of the day, & 75 pounds less than 1/3 of the day.
  • Using hands and reaching with hands/arms for over 2/3 of the workday.
  • Standing, walking, climbing, or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling for over 2/3 of the workday.
  • Distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more), peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to differentiate colors.
  • Ability to work in a production environment that is not temperature controlled and occasionally in varying outdoor weather conditions.
  • Ability to work in a loud noise environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily work assignments for the production team on 2nd shift, ensuring efficient and safe operations.​
  • Lead by example in maintaining equipment, troubleshooting machinery, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.​
  • Oversee packaging, handling, and quality of finished goods; address performance issues and support team development.​
  • Operate and monitor production machinery, perform maintenance and repairs as needed, and operate a forklift to move finished products.​
  • Conduct team training, cross-training, and participate in interviews and hiring processes while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.​
  • Complete real-time reporting, maintain housekeeping, and perform other duties as assigned by production management.​
