The Manufacturing Team Leader is responsible for leading a team of Engravers and Machinists in the production of high-quality engraved rolls. This role focuses on driving operational efficiency, ensuring safety and quality standards, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The Manufacturing Team Leader also plays a key role in developing team capability and ensuring reliable equipment performance.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in a manufacturing-related field with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience; OR High school diploma/GED with at least 8 years of related manufacturing experience.
  • Strong technical expertise in machining, engraving, fabrication, materials, blueprint reading, NC programs, routings, tooling, and fixturing.
  • Demonstrated communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Proven problem-solving, planning, and scheduling abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Previous leadership experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of associates operating engraving and machining equipment to maximize efficiency, equipment utilization, cross-training, and employee growth.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by leveraging tools and resources to reduce downtime, enhance processes, maintain standard work, and identify training needs.
  • Serve as a technical resource for the team, providing hands-on support in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Support the evaluation and recommendation of future equipment and capital investment needs.
  • Lead resolution of quality issues, including containment, root cause analysis, and implementation of permanent corrective actions.
  • Proactively identify equipment issues and partner with Maintenance to plan and execute preventive maintenance activities.
  • Create and sustain a strong safety culture by promoting safe behaviors, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, and actively identifying and addressing hazards.
  • Ensure work areas and equipment are clean, organized, and maintained in a safe condition; promptly address and report unsafe conditions.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
