About The Position
The Manufacturing Team Lead directly supports manufacturing operations and actively participates with the site operations leadership to align safety, quality, training, productivity, and engineering goals within the operations crews. This position reports to site leadership’s area management.
Responsibilities
- Provides strong leadership to manufacturing employees and acts as the operation’s first contact resource for day to day operations
- Provides technical troubleshooting support for the manufacturing operation
- Provides consistent performance feedback to manufacturing employees
- Actively supports direct labor training initiatives
- Manages direct labor staffing scheduling
- Leads Lean Daily Management (LDM) Activities
- Conducts safety and housekeeping audits
- Facilitates communication between production shifts
- Acts as a liaison to supporting manufacturing departments (i.e. customer service, R&D, planning, supply chain, maintenance)
- Participate in engineering led continuous improvement projects
- Manages work through processes
- Other duties as assigned
