Manufacturing Team Lead - 2nd Shift
About The Position
The Gund Company has an immediate opening for a full-time Manufacturing Team Lead to join our team! The Gund Company, a leader in engineered material solutions, specializes in customized electrical insulation products. With 16 global facilities, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality products and excellent customer service. We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Team Lead to join our team. As a Manufacturing Team Lead, you will play a key role in managing operators, equipment and materials. This includes being responsible for flow of work through the shop and technical training of operators.
Requirements
- Ability to operate, set-up, and program all machinery in the department.
- Strong basic math skills and the ability to use measuring tools (tape measures, calipers, micrometers, etc.).
- Flexibility to work overtime and adjust to emergency production needs.
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma or GED with prior hands on, vocational or job-related course work/training, or any similar combination of education and experience.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with reading blueprints and technical drawings.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a technical resource and team leader for operators.
- Train and develop less experienced operators and participate in their development in partnership with VSM.
- Complete work order paperwork and demonstrate an outstanding record of quality, efficiency, and productivity.
- Other duties as assigned.
