Summary The Team Lead manages and coordinates employees and processes in their assigned value stream in the production of elastomeric infusion pumps.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Required, Bachelors Degree Preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience and demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Must have basic English written and oral communication skills adequate to communicate with other team members.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and the ability to learn/use enterprise software (i.e., POMS and Maximo)
  • Understand verbal and written safety and quality instructions and read and comprehend written work instructions including words and drawings.
  • Must be able to perform basic mathematics.
  • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment: Gown, hood, eye glasses, gloves, shoe coverings.
  • Must be comfortable working in a clean room environment.
  • Physical requirements: must be able to sit, stand, and walk throughout the day. May need to push or pull no more than 10 pounds.
  • Subject to moderate to high noise levels that may require speaking loudly to be heard.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate production lines as needed, ensure labor efficiency, and escalate staffing or operational issues promptly.
  • Partner with the Supervisor to motivate, recognize, coach, and develop employees to promote a positive and high-performing work environment.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives, including Lean activities, Value Stream projects, safety teams, and defect prevention programs.
  • Review batch documentation and production records; perform preventative maintenance tasks in MAXIMO and update electronic systems accurately.
  • Perform scheduled quality checks, disposition product, identify deviations, and take corrective actions, including stopping production when required.
  • Assist in leading tier meetings focused on safety, quality, production performance, and timely upload of daily metrics.
  • Take immediate and appropriate action to address safety, quality, mechanical, or documentation discrepancies.
  • Learn, apply, and uphold rigorous quality standards, SOPs, GDP, and cGMP requirements.
  • Monitor employee timecards and shift schedules for accuracy and make necessary corrections.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure smooth production flow and prepare Nonconformance Reports (NCRs) as needed.
  • Interpret and enforce company/HR policies and foster a safe work environment by ensuring team understanding of focus 8, applying 6S principles, and conducting regular Gemba and safety walks.
