Schneider Electric is seeking a motivated individual to join our Lexington, KY plant as a Manufacturing Supervisor. As a Manufacturing Supervisor, you will ensure excellence in team performance by maintaining safety, quality, on-time delivery, and employee development. This leadership position offers strong opportunities for career growth. This position covers 2nd shift hours from 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM. This facility is a union environment. What will you do? Responsible for the performance of a production/manufacturing sector through strong leadership, providing mentoring, direction, and supervision to the production team. Align resources with needs within short- and medium-term horizons; develop training plans as necessary for successful execution of standardized work; lead short interval management at the sector level; formulate and escalate issues where necessary. Serve as a strong contributor to continuous improvement initiatives. Enforce compliance with HSE and 5S rules throughout your department, including reporting and managing incidents and near misses. Ensure compliance with the quality system and proper application of defined processes and procedures to meet required quality standards. Manage production schedules and resource balancing in coordination with the Manufacturing Manager. Ensure achievement of production schedules in accordance with objectives for cost, quality, and lead time. Lead appropriate SIM (Short Interval Management) cycles within the Schneider Production System. Adjust manufacturing programs according to customer priorities. Organize team training needs and manage workforce versatility in accordance with defined targets. Spend 50–70% of your time on the shop floor conducting safety walk-throughs, tracking production, and removing barriers. Contribute to the continuous improvement process through the implementation of lean methods in accordance with the Schneider Performance System. What qualifications will make you successful? Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related discipline; equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. 2 years minimum experience in a manufacturing environment and/or supervision role, required. Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing methodologies and/or Six Sigma knowledge and application. Demonstrated ability to lead, effectively communicate both written and verbal, and strong problem-solving abilities. Very strong interpersonal skills – including strong conflict resolutions skills. Have strong working knowledge of PC applications (Windows, Excel, Word, Access, etc.) Experience with performance management tools (LDS/DISS/MES/ERP, ….) is a plus. Flexible to respond to shifting priorities and ability to effectively prioritize daily tasks. Are self-motivated, self-directed with a high sense of urgency and eager to improve surroundings.
