The Impact You’ll Make in this Role As a Manufacturing Supervisor you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: Provide direct supervision to hourly production employees Coach lead and manage 3M PSM covered process lines. Inspire integrity by upholding and complying with 3M policies and guidelines Provide leadership for assigned operations by fostering cross-functional teamwork and communicating goals of the organization to employees Review production issues with the quality and engineering teams and use available resources to resolve process, maintenance, equipment and related technical problems Determine priorities on a daily basis, allocate work assignments, communicate expectations, and monitor workflow Review department expenses, overtime hours, and scrap and yield loss to recommend cost savings programs Conduct department crew meetings to review team performance and celebrate successes. Evaluate employee performance and provide necessary coaching, feedback and disciplinary actions Lead and participate in Lean Six Sigma continuous improvement activities Willingness to work off shift and to be on-call during weekends as needed by the manufacturing teams Complete administrative activities such as time reporting, attendance control and vacation planning

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Five (5) combined years of experience in Manufacturing, Quality, and/or Supply Chain in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Two (2) years of frontline supervisory experience in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a Science or Engineering discipline (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
  • Seven (7) years of Manufacturing, Quality, or Supply Chain experience
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
  • MS Office proficiency
  • Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and project experience
