A Day in the Life As a Manufacturing Supervisor you are the primary resource for delivering success of the day-to-day operations, among the different activities you will: Supervise a group of team leaders and manufacturing operators. Assure compliance to all quality requirements while delivering to expected business service and financial targets. Calculate daily productivity based on team members working and product manufactured. Escalate needs to ensure fast response to deliver results. Use problem solving techniques to properly manage situations among the shift. Collaborate with manufacturing engineers, quality engineers, technicians to improve day-to-day performance. Monitor, analyze and take actions regarding quality and compliance with procedures and policies. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned. Responsible for the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives. Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply. Plans and administers procedures and budgets. Makes budgetary recommendations on capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor. Selects and develops personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the production function. Develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas. Requirements

  • Understands basic management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching and process execution.
  • Requires advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
  • Requires 1+ years of experience with a high school diploma or equivalent.
