The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for directing the production operations function within a value stream to ensure a successful and safe manufacturing process. They will guarantee that manufacturing remains a smooth and efficient process by monitoring and coaching employees and organizing workflows. Key to their success is comprehending complex operations with the goal of ensuring the production processes are safe and deliver products of maximum quality in a profitable manner for our customers and patients.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and/or University degree is required
  • A minimum of two years’ work experience in manufacturing or a related/supporting function (Four years preferred).
  • At minimum of two years of leadership experience in a manufacturing.

  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Accomplishes manufacturing objectives by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; developing personal growth opportunities.
  • Maintains workflow by monitoring steps of the process, personnel and resources
  • Works proactively with cross-functional partners to implement cost reductions, drive process/productivity improvements, and foster a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
  • Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems.
  • Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on EHS&S standards and procedures.
  • Ensures quality standards and procedures are followed; supports regulatory requirements (audits, CAPA, etc.) as assigned.
  • May provides input to and manages departmental budget. Reviews expenses and implements cost controls to ensure budget is not exceeded.
  • May manage interactions with cross-functional stakeholders, including Engineering, PP&L, Maintenance, EHS&S, Quality, Operational Excellence, and others (as appropriate).
  • Ensure EHSS objectives and targets are established for their employees as applicable to their role, training is assigned and completed on-time, and procedures are implemented, followed, and monitored to ensure EHSS compliance.
  • Ensure EHSS Good Saves and Incidents are reported promptly in CURVE, investigated, and CAPAs completed on time.
  • Ensure EHSS is integrated into the department processes and meetings including: MOC, JSA, EHS walkthroughs, GEMBA, and CURVE CAPAS & resources.
