A Day in the Life As a Manufacturing Supervisor you will leads daily production operations in a regulated medical device cleanroom environment, ensuring compliance with GMP, safety, and quality standards. This role involves managing personnel, optimizing production schedules, using Lean Manufacturing (MPS) to drive efficiency, and resolving technical issues to meet cost and delivery Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned. Responsible for the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives. Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply. Plans and administers procedures and budgets. Makes budgetary recommendations on capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor. Selects and develops personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the production function. Develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas. Management Skills: Management of Financial and Material Resources, Critical Thinking, Project Management, Management of Personnel Resources, Collaboration and Productivity Software, Effective Communication Skills. Functional Skills: Machining and Manufacturing Technologies, Proficient computer skills, Data Science and Analysis, Lean Manufacturing and continued improvement, Managing Quality.

Requirements

  • Understands basic management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching and process execution.
  • Requires advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
  • Requires 1+ years of experience with a high school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

  • Education: BS in Engineering, Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: 1+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, preferably in a regulated or clean-room environment.
  • Leadership & People Management: Ability to coach, mentor, and motivate teams, foster a positive, safe, and collaborative work environment, and resolve conflicts.
  • Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Strong verbal and written communication to provide feedback, run meetings, and interact with different departments
  • Quality & Safety: Knowledge of FDA regulations, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and Gemba inspections.
  • Problem-Solving & Decision Making: Ability to think critically, make quick decisions under pressure, and address production bottlenecks
  • Organizational Skills: Proficiency in scheduling, planning, time management, and maintaining safety/quality standards.
  • Technical Tools: Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), ERP/ MES systems, Kronos Continuous Improvement: Lean Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing experience
  • For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
