Manufacturing Supervisor Dept./Divison: RBC Lubron Bearing Systems Job Supervised: Machine Operators Responsibilities: Supervise departmental supervisors to achieve production volume, cost, and quality goals, and meet production schedules and delivery dates. Plan production schedules to align with shipping schedules set by production control, ensuring parts, process sheets, and raw materials are available for job starts. Maintain discipline and enforce health and safety regulations in accordance with company policy. Participate in decision-making processes for improvements to reduce scrap and enhance efficiency and quality. Coach machinist III to improve their leadership skills and train operators to enhance quality and efficiency. Support administrative functions by providing required paperwork or forms in a timely manner. Assist the maintenance department with predictive and preventative maintenance programs. Follow and administer budgets as set by the Plant Manager and prepare progress reports related to departmental budget guidelines. Utilize the annual evaluation process for employee goal setting and development programs. Recommend process improvements and enforce company policies and safety regulations. Participate in hiring, training, and evaluating the performance of subordinates. Review operator efficiencies to ensure proper labor splits and minimal labor hour variances daily. Provide a detailed daily schedule for set up technicians and machinists to ensure hours are fully allocated to machinery for 1 st and 2 nd Plan and coordinate set up dates to validate all tooling required and gaging is readily available. Monitor tooling usage to ensure machines are always stocked to complete specified jobs. Submit tooling requisitions for all machinery as needed. Provide a monthly production plan with weekly updates to ensure monthly and quarterly objectives are on track. Coordinate weekly production plans and weekly goals to ensure product can be completed within specified time frames including outside processing lead times. Organize Hot Job Board list for daily updates on the manufacturing board meeting. Assist machinists and set up technicians with troubleshooting, work closely with quality and engineering to ensure products are conforming. Monitor and track set ups and machine down time to maximize daily throughput. Monthly KPI submittal and review to ensure goals are met. Activities: Work primarily indoors within office and manufacturing areas. Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. Regularly required to sit, talk, or hear; frequently use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms; occasionally stand and walk. Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Support weekend schedule Qualifications Guidelines: Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university and three to five years of related manufacturing experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. MIN: $75k to $90k Please note that the salary range information is only applicable to California.
