About The Position

What Manufacturing Management contributes to Cardinal Health Manufacturing is responsible for cost of production and maintenance activities including process improvement, supply chain management, quality assurance, employee safety and engagement, and environmental commitment. Manufacturing Management is responsible for strategic oversight and leadership direction within the Manufacturing function. Job Summary Define and interpret manufacturing requirements for the production of Adult Incontinent Care Products. Coordinate the activities of production operations to create a team environment while leading results in cost, safety, quality, and service. Responsible for the development and general labor relations of department personnel directly or through subordinates. Evaluate the effectiveness of the manufacturing area in order to meet expectations and develop a team approach towards product innovation and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 4-8 years in manufacturing industry or related experience preferred
  • BA, BS or equivalent experience in related field preferred
  • Coordinates and supervises the daily activities of operations or business staff
  • Administers and exercises policies and procedures
  • Ensures employees operate within guidelines
  • Decisions have a direct impact to work unit operations and customers
  • Frequently interacts with subordinates, customers, and peer groups at various management levels
  • Interactions normally involve information exchange and basic problem resolution

Responsibilities

  • Directs the day-to-day activities of the production operation
  • Coordinates and supervises the daily production activities, daily scheduling for work force and set priorities to team to ensure task completion
  • Actively builds relationships across functions/businesses that bring value to the company, encouraging the participation and perspectives of all team members, regardless of background; mentors and empowers others to achieve success
  • Has in-depth knowledge of work processes and tools, maintaining 6S company standards and managing safety programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve safety, quality, and productivity metrics/goal
  • Insures that accurate attendance/PTO records and scheduling are maintained
  • Completes detailed accurate performance evaluations of all direct reports
  • Maintains general responsibility for disciplinary process in the area of counseling, oral and written warnings; insures a productive work climate in the production operation
  • Work on special projects as defined per business for each area of operation.
  • Applies expertise to solve standard and non-standard problems within own area
  • Aligns individual goals for self and others with work area/functional goals
  • Perform duties in compliance with all safety rules and regulations required by the Company, Local, and State and Federal provisions.
