About The Position

Manufacturing Site Manager Elk Grove Village, IL KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Lead & develop a cross-functional team across production, engineering, quality, warehouse, & maintenance Build a collaborative, high-performance culture aligned with Plasticade values Drive engagement, talent development, & workforce planning in partnership with HR Own plant performance across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Morale (SQCDM) Execute site priorities to meet KPI goals (OEE, downtime, labor productivity, inventory accuracy, etc) Manage site budget, cost-saving initiatives, and EBITDA performance Ensure strong system implementation - including operational systems, process discipline, & adherence Lead & enhance systems that improve throughput, standardization, and reliability Identify & execute CI initiatives using Lean tools (Kaizen, Gemba, 5S, root cause analysis) Reduce waste, improve cycle times, & strengthen process stability Champion a safety-first culture; ensure full OSHA & regulatory compliance Drive a zero-defect mindset & standardization of procedures Support sustainability & waste-reduction initiatives POSITION REQUIRMENTS: 7+ years of manufacturing experience with plastics manufacturing experience required 2+ years leading a site or plant operation Bachelor’s degree in related field OR equivalent experience in plastics manufacturing & site leadership Demonstrated success implementing & sustaining operational systems Strong leadership presence with ability to influence at all levels both written & verbal Experience with Lean/CI methodologies Proficiency with ERP systems & Microsoft Office suite PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: Blow molding experience highly preferred Epicor EPR experience preferred Lean Six Sigma certification preferred Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred WORK ENVIRONMENT/ PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Works in an office environment with moderate noise levels, prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, and working on a computer. Frequently (multiple times a day) spends time in Production and Warehouse areas which includes prolonged periods of standing and walking. Must wear required PPE in the designated operations areas. Must be able to occasionally lift to 50 pounds. Potential for occasional travel, up to 10%. Requirements

  • 7+ years of manufacturing experience with plastics manufacturing experience required
  • 2+ years leading a site or plant operation
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field OR equivalent experience in plastics manufacturing & site leadership
  • Demonstrated success implementing & sustaining operational systems
  • Strong leadership presence with ability to influence at all levels both written & verbal
  • Experience with Lean/CI methodologies
  • Proficiency with ERP systems & Microsoft Office suite

Nice To Haves

  • Blow molding experience highly preferred
  • Epicor EPR experience preferred
