About The Position

We are looking for a talented Shop Operations Team Manager to join our engine
plant in Jamestown, NY. In this role, you will lead a team of production
employees while creating a positive, supportive, and accountable work
environment. You will ensure daily production goals are met by effectively
allocating resources, overseeing workflow, and maintaining consistent
communication across all levels of the organization. A key part of this position
involves managing timekeeping for direct reports to ensure accurate recording of
hours and the fair application of attendance policies. You will provide ongoing
coaching, mentoring, and performance management, including the appropriate use
of progressive discipline when necessary. Strong communication skills are
essential, along with the ability to develop staff, build productive
manager–subordinate relationships, and apply company policies with fairness and
consistency. This role also requires the ability to lead project groups from
initiation through completion and to collaborate with cross‑functional teams to
develop and close Corrective Action Responses (CARs). Supervisory experience is
preferred, as is a proven ability to guide teams through daily operations with a
focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
