About The Position

As a Manufacturing Repair Representative (Bench Repair Tech), you’ll play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of PRC‑Saltillo communication devices. This technical, hands‑on role is responsible for testing, troubleshooting, and repairing microprocessor‑based assemblies across PRC and/or Saltillo product lines. You’ll document repairs, determine warranty status, support customers and vendors, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure devices meet the highest quality standards. This position also supports wheelchair mounting questions and custom modifications, directly impacting customer satisfaction and product excellence.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in electronics or a related field preferred; equivalent of five years of related experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of four years of electronics‑related work experience preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional, customer‑focused approach.
  • Component‑level troubleshooting skills, including the ability to analyze and interpret schematics.
  • Strong soldering skills and hands‑on technical proficiency.
  • Experience using diagnostic tools such as DMMs, oscilloscopes, micro‑system troubleshooters, and PCs.
  • Working knowledge of Mac, Android, and PC‑based systems.

Responsibilities

  • Repair and service communication devices across PRC or Saltillo product lines, including rental and loaner returns and exchanges.
  • Determine warranty versus non‑warranty status and tabulate service charges for out‑of‑warranty repairs, including customer cost communication.
  • Troubleshoot current and legacy products, including devices with limited documentation or discontinued parts.
  • Repair new production units that do not meet functional or quality standards.
