About The Position

The Quality Assurance Technician plays a critical role in maintaining our Documentation and Calibration Programs while supporting quality investigations, internal audits, inspection activities, and cross-functional warehouse operations. This position is ideal for a technically minded, detail-oriented professional who enjoys working hands-on with precision measurement equipment and collaborating across departments to ensure product quality and compliance.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in a technical field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience in quality assurance, inspection, calibration, or manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Experience operating precision measurement equipment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in fiber optics, connectors, or cable assemblies
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Experience operating or programming a CMM
  • Knowledge of ISO or other quality management systems

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and administer US Conec’s Calibration Program
  • Schedule and coordinate external calibration services
  • Perform internal calibrations to traceable standards
  • Maintain accurate calibration records and documentation
  • Partner with appropriate stakeholders to evaluate out-of-calibration equipment and assess potential product impact
  • Facilitate document updates, approvals, and revisions
  • Maintain controlled document library and traceability
  • Assist Quality Engineering and Management with quality investigations
  • Support completion of First Article Inspection (FAI) Reports
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Operate precision measurement equipment, including CMM when required
  • Support Incoming Inspection activities as needed
  • Develop and complete customer-required Certificates of Conformance
  • Provide technical support to the Shipping team
  • Lead and/or support internal quality audits in partnership with the Quality Manager
  • Assist with receiving, inventory put-away, picking, and shipping activities as business demand requires
