About The Position

This position will assist Quality Management in scheduling, training, mentoring, and developing inspection staff. This position is responsible for tracking and communicating the CSI Manufacturing, FAT, and Shipping schedule(s) to the inspection team to ensure task completion and minimize delays in project schedules. This position is responsible identifying areas for continuous improvement in CSI manufacturing and quality inspection. This position is highly diverse and requires exceptional accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Sanitary Process Piping experience
  • 2 + years of job-shop manufacturing experience
  • 2 + years of experience inspecting process piping and components
  • Process Control Procedures
  • Document Control experience
  • Microsoft Software (proficient)
  • Knowledge of ASME Section IX welding qualification
  • Knowledge of manufacturing procedures and processes
  • Craft positions require constant bending, kneeling, and stooping.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move items up to 75 pounds with assistance.
  • Visual acuity is required to perform work using close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • The employee may be exposed to environmental factors typical of a welding and installation environment and will work with various power tools.
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment, such as gloves, safety glasses and steel toe shoes.
  • Must have the right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with leading, training, and mentoring inspection team.
  • Identify processes and procedures needed to support Quality, Design, and/or customer requirements.
  • Assist in maintaining current revisions of procedures and forms as required by QMS.
  • Assist in maintaining system of inspection Tool, Instrument and Gage calibration.
  • Assist in Root Cause Analysis activities, Corrective Actions Reports, ensure that Corrective Actions have been properly followed and used when appropriate.
  • Assist with manufacturing corrective and preventative action reports to ensure the team has identified the problem correctly and appropriate action is taken when appropriate.
  • Assist with maintaining CSI Welding Program to ensure compliance with ASME Section IX.
  • Assist with FAT quality initiatives in conjunction with customer interfacing obligations.
  • Assist in ensuring the productivity and efficiency of inspectors.
  • Recommend needed inspection practices and methods.
  • Assist in the interaction among department personnel, promoting cooperation and assisting as conflicts arise.
  • Manage the workflow among your team, promoting cooperation and interaction while always monitoring productivity.
  • Mentor and evaluate team members knowledge and performance of their responsibilities.
  • Teach and demonstrate appropriate inspection techniques and standards to facilitate employee and team growth.
  • Provide problem solving interaction through listening and recognizing the needs.
  • Maintain standard operating procedures for key manufacturing processes and product testing to ensure product integrity and consistent product performance.
  • Identify process control procedures associated with any manufacturing functions where improvements can be implemented.
  • Assist when appropriate with creation, implementation, and follow through of new processes and/or procedures for manufacturing improvements.
  • Assist in the increased knowledge of inspection, documentation and manufacturing procedures as the available technology evolves.
  • Inquire and understand all aspects of the manufacturing cycle to increase the awareness of how each position functions with the team.
