About The Position

The Quality Engineer will support overall Quality for the Nashville Device Care Center. This position must drive quality by creating and implementing processes for materials and workflow (inbound and outbound) related to devices. They will track quality issues in real-time and create, monitor, and report KPI’s. They are responsible for acquiring knowledge of and for any document platforms to support robust quality process creation and implementation facility wide. They must develop audit plans, document and report audit results including any non-conformances. They shall drive the preventive and corrective action program for all quality related facets of the business. This is an onsite position based at our Mt. Juliet, TN facility.

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Minimum three (3) years’ quality engineering experience
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to successfully interface with technical and non-technical personnel such as inspectors, designers, buyers, vendors, manufacturing personnel, and management
  • High energy professional with the ability to establish and maintain effective business relationships
  • Strong interpersonal skills to deal effectively with problem solving, brainstorming sessions, strategy development and conflict resolution
  • Driven, goal oriented, never confuses effort with results
  • Demonstrated analytical skills

Nice To Haves

  • Education in any Engineering discipline
  • Familiarity with Quality disciplines
  • Familiarity with LEAN Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Ability to utilize Six Sigma tools to resolve product/process issues
  • Ability to read, interpret, and understand technical and non-technical documents including but not limited to contracts, product drawings, and product specifications
  • Proficiency with standard business and specialized software packages
  • Previous auditing experience
  • Wireless of consumer electronics logistics/repair/manufacturing

Responsibilities

  • Provide specifications, material issue resolution, corrective action plans, component/BOM validation, in-process and final audits, and maintain documented tracking of above
  • Perform auditing to internal, external, and Customer directed standard requirements, documenting procedures necessary to meet industry standard practices
  • Maintain, continuously improve, and track the accuracy of testing through inbound, in-process, and final audits
  • Drive corrective and preventive action plans, from initiation to resolution of items, and collect and analyze data to track quality improvements
  • Develop and manage a true incoming materials quality program to verify the actual state of supplied materials and drive purchased material quality improvement
  • Assist in the transition to manufacturing and process control of specific materials and new processes, incorporating evaluation, benchmarking and validation techniques including capability studies
  • Work cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Materials, VAS, AVR and all other departments as necessary to drive process and materials compliance to internal and external requirements
  • Work with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to ensure that all documentation reflects current operational status, and meet internal and external customer requirements
  • Partner with the reporting team to create Quality Reporting Dashboards
  • Create and present Quality and Customer oriented presentations to all levels of organization
  • Perform data analysis to highlight quality concerns
  • Initiate and maintain for supporting data reporting, tracking and auditing
