About The Position

R2Net is a diamond bridal jewelry company with a technology soul. R2Net Inc. is an innovative technology company that provides e-commerce and supply chain platforms to connect the entire span of the diamond industry’s ecosystem, including manufacturers, retailers, and consumers. The Manufacturing Quality Control Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and continuous improvement of the Manufacturing QC function. This role owns quality outcomes across in-process customer orders, reverse logistics, and select finished goods, ensuring consistent application of quality standards and the efficient and timely completion of work. The Manager partners closely with factory leadership, Production, and Assigning teams to align quality control operations with broader manufacturing and business objectives. In addition to managing daily and weekly workflows, this role is accountable for developing team capabilities, establishing scalable processes, analyzing quality data, and driving improvements that reduce defects, rework, and delays.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in jewelry QA or jewelry assurance roles, including deep knowledge of jewelry process, and jewelry integrity in a manufacturing environment
  • 2+ year in a related role with direct management responsibilities and a team of at least 3 people
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills,
  • Track record of excellent performance – quality, communication and attendance
  • Computer skills including comfort with word, email, excel, and slack, and the ability to use them every day and support team members
  • Hands-on problem solving, proactively identifying solutions, takes action and prevents issues from escalating.
  • Translate business needs to action items for the polishing team

Responsibilities

  • Operational & Quality Leadership
  • Own QC operations, ensuring consistent, accurate quality evaluation across all Manufacturing QC personnel.
  • Oversee job order prioritization, workflow planning, and capacity management to meet production lead times.
  • Provide technical guidance and escalation support for complex or high-risk quality issues.
  • Work to ensure quality standards, inspection criteria, and pass/fail definitions are clearly documented, updated, and uniformly applied.
  • Identify root causes of defects, rework, and delays; work with the Factory leadership to implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Work with the production team to ensure immediate feedback and job corrections are completed in a timely and respectful manner
  • People Management & Development
  • Lead, mentor, and develop Manufacturing QC team members, fostering accountability, consistency, and professional growth.
  • Oversee hiring, onboarding, training, and ongoing skill development for the QC team.
  • Identify skills gaps and coordinate targeted training to improve technical capability and quality judgment.
  • Conduct regular performance feedback and support career development within the department.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership & Communication
  • Serve as the primary QC point of contact for Production, Assigning, and factory leadership, proactively communicating quality trends, risks, and priorities.
  • Work with direct manager and Final QC team manager to resolve quality concerns, clarify expectations, and align on standards
  • Work with Production leads on job and work coordination on a daily basis
  • Process Improvement & Metrics
  • Help define, track, and analyze quality metrics to guide Manufacturing QC team and the Production team
  • Use data to drive continuous improvement, process standardization, and operational efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain documentation of best practices, defects, and resolutions.
  • Advocate for appropriate QC staffing levels, tools, systems, and procedures to support business growth.
  • Administrative & Organizational Support
  • Ensure accurate job tracking, documentation, and escalation of critical concerns.
  • Support team members in navigating R2Net systems, requirements, training, and Workday processes.
  • Communicate clearly and consistently with the broader factory on updates, priorities, and changes.
