About The Position

CACI is seeking a Manufacturing Project Lead to join our Spectrum Superiority (S2) division, supporting our Optical & Photonic Systems team-- we are expanding! The position will require a candidate with strong optical and/or electronics manufacturing experience and a passion to lead complex optical manufacturing programs. Our systems include high-speed electro-optics, fiber optics, and high-power lasers, that provide high-speed data communication across space and from space to ground, including links as far as 250 million miles away. Do you have a passion for leading teams building and delivering complex electro-optical systems to precise standards? Apply now and join the team! Responsibilities: You will be responsible for leading the production of one or more Photonics programs, working with the Program Manager, Lead Engineers, and development and manufacturing teams to ensure that newly developed Photonics systems are ready for efficient production, moving them into initial and then full-rate production, and delivering them to customers. Problems faced are frequently complex and require broad-based solutions that impact areas outside of your immediate responsibility. The Manufacturing Program Manager is responsible for the production of the systems, including production decisions, planning, schedule, and control account management, and ensuring production objectives are achieved. The Manufacturing Program Manager is a key interface to customers that are technically oriented, and the ability to effectively communicate with this community will be critical to success. This position will also require the ability to identify and implement evolving manufacturing and quality best practices within the team, and the ability to communicate with and influence executive leadership. The position will also include responsibility to work with development teams in adjacent organizations to Design For Manufacturing (DFM), and to support the transition to production. A successful person in this role will also contribute to improvement of entire processes or systems within the organization, leveraging personal past experience and understanding of manufacturing management best practices to drive our competitive position in the marketplace.
