About The Position

A Day in Your Life at MKS: As a Manufacturing/Production Supervisor at MKS, Inc., be responsible for the daily development and implementation of activities in production areas to meet production goals, quality and cost objectives. In this role, you will report to the Operations Manager. This position supports first and second shift. Hours would be split between the two shifts but exact and start and end time can be worked out at time of hire. You Will Make an Impact By: Prioritizing production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, materials supply, sales forecast and production ramp planning Making budgetary recommendations on capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor Selecting and developing personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the production function. Develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas Continuously monitoring and improving process yield for each area Maintaining high quality levels by ensuring that all work processes are documented and performed correctly Influencing groups’ ability and desire to meet on-time delivery, scrap and efficiency metrics by leading and motivating team members to optimum performance, ensuring that correct procedures are being used, and providing sufficient equipment, supplies and tools to do the job. Lead by example. Maintaining accurate records (for output, yields, material, scrap, warranties, labor hours, timecards, etc.), analyzing available data for improvement opportunities, implementing improvement/corrective actions, and presenting, as required Working with team members on a daily basis to encourage/motivate, identify/resolve problems, and maintaining/improving department performance Working with members of other groups to best satisfy customer requirements while continuously improving operations and MKS standards

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years manufacturing environment
  • Mechanical assembly and machine operation background is essential
  • Highly motivated and able to function in a team-oriented electro-mechanical manufacturing environment
  • Able to handle multiple tasks and competing demands in an effective manner to meet customer demands
  • Effective written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Must have proven managerial skills in dealing with people, problems and materials issues. Strong leadership/personnel development skills
  • Oracle experience
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills in a technical environment

Nice To Haves

  • Clean room environment familiarity and protocol awareness
  • Tig and laser welding knowledge, a plus
  • Materials experience preferred
