About The Position

Inside the Role Provide Process Engineering support for NFD Axle Carrier Assembly operations, leveraging experience with highly automated assembly line manufacturing processes to achieve production targets. Collaborate cross‑functionally with operations, maintenance, quality, and logistics teams to diagnose issues, implement corrective actions, and improve assembly processes and overall efficiency. We Take Care of Our Team Position offers a starting salary range of $90,000 – $115,000 USD Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience. What You Drive at DTNA Designs, develops, and implements new or revised production processes for the efficient/economical mass production of goods Designs the sequence of production operations, specifying procedures for the fabrication of applicable tools and equipment, and adapting machinery in response to factory conditions Conducts tests throughout all stages of production to determine control over applicable variables and troubleshooting/solving production problems Ensures that production processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations Interface with Quality personnel to provide direction on issues related to process and product quality Uses analytical thought to independently solve complex problems with minimal guidance and identify solutions Works independently within guidelines and policies to solve problems of moderate complexity Lead projects and problem solving activities to improve production efficiency through application of lean manufacturing methodology and tools Assist Maintenance in trouble shooting breakdowns and scheduling preventative maintenance Development of Standardized Work Instructions (SWI) Acts as an advisor to management and key external stakeholders on job field related projects Acts as a resource and guide for colleagues with less experience Uses experience to contribute to standards in which others will operate Knowledge You Should Bring Bachelor’s degree in metallurgy, mechanical, manufacturing, industrial or electrical engineering or engineering technology relevant 2-4 years of relevant experience Controls Engineering, PLC, assembly automated process with robots experience preferable TOS / Lean Manufacturing Experience preferable Where We Work This position is open to applicants who can work in (or relocate to) the following location(s)- Detroit, MI US. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in metallurgy, mechanical, manufacturing, industrial or electrical engineering or engineering technology relevant
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience

Nice To Haves

  • Controls Engineering, PLC, assembly automated process with robots experience preferable
  • TOS / Lean Manufacturing Experience preferable

Responsibilities
