2nd Shift - Manufacturing Planner - Systems & Test (Associate, Mid-Level, Senior) Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is hiring a 2nd Shift Manufacturing Planners to join our team in Renton Washington as part of our Production Engineering organization. In this role, you will collaborate with design engineers, shop floor teams and cross-functional partners to develop and sustain functional test plans that ensure our systems perform as designed. You’ll be key in resolving technical challenges, optimizing test processes and facilitating smooth integration of system changes. Requirements

  • 1 or more years’ experience in a manufacturing production environment.
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • 1 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. (Associate Level)
  • Must be able to work 2nd Shift

Nice To Haves

  • 3 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. (Mid-Level)
  • 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. (Senior Level)
  • Familiarity with aircraft system architecture, wiring diagrams and schematics
  • Experience in Product Data Manager (PDM) and CAPP, or another structured production business system
  • Experience in MESci or similar Manufacturing system
  • Hands on experience performing functional tests
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with design engineers to co-develop work statements for new and revised test changes.
  • Submit work statements through internal systems (ECAS/PICAS) for customer intros and committed changes.
  • Provide technical insight on functional test implementation and timelines to engineering and change boards.
  • Develop and manage Commitment Development Schedule (CDS) plans that identify requirements and sequence of events.
  • Coordinate with Production teams and Industrial Engineering to determine IP build/test sequence
  • Create and maintain Product Data Management (PDM) structures to capture requirements of build plans.
  • Review, validate and release test configurations for customer aircraft.
  • Coordinate test tooling requirements with Design, Tool Engineering and Production
  • Resolve test plan discrepancies for productions (e.g., PARs, SATs)
  • Evaluate and provide recommendation for factory retest requests for unplanned removals and out of sequence events
