Our next Full-Time Packaging Supervisor will be a key player in the direct supervision and training of our non-flower packaging team, managing inventory of all packaging, labeling and finished products as well as keeping accurate documentation in our state mandated system and our ERP system. To Be Blunt You will be challenged to work tactically to ensure complete and on time execution of production schedules. One minute you will be m anaging inventory of packaging and labeling components, finished products . The next minute you will be record-keeping within the state-mandated electronic tracking system. And the next minute training of all team members engaged in the packaging . Regardless of the task, it’s critical you have strong situational awareness and EQ as you’ll work within a diverse team in the organization. Where you’ll be planted This position will be on-site at our Waterfall, PA facility

Requirements

High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.
Applicant must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be and remain compliant with any and all company regulations.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Strong organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related fields is preferred.
Experience working in a GMP manufacturing or laboratory environment is preferred.
Experience in the medical marijuana/cannabis industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

Responsible for direct supervision and training of all team members engaged in the packaging, labeling, and data tracking of finished products.
Monitor employees to ensure attendance and adherence to break and meal schedules.
Ensure proper communication of tasks through shift changes.
Plan and adhere to the daily packaging schedules to ensure attainment of efficiency goals.
Verify that all applicable working areas, tools, processing equipment, packaging and labeling components are maintained in good working order prior to the start of each shift or batch.
Ensure that all packaging, labeling, and data reporting activities are performed with attention to strict TerrAscend quality and safety standards, regulatory compliance, and all other applicable legal and food safety requirements.
Safely operate, clean, calibrate, and maintain equipment including manual, semi-automatic, and automatic liquid filling machines, capping machines, label applicators, label printers, and scales according to strict standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Document all packaging, labeling, and inventory activities using the state-mandated MJ Freeway seed-to-sale system and into our ERP system.
Produce reliable, precise data for the completion of all required batch, equipment, quality, inventory and state mandated MJ Freeway seed-to-sale documentation system.
Contribute to continuous improvement of TerrAscend process SOPs, work instructions and controlled document revisions.
Manage inventory of packaging and labeling components, finished products, and other items by maintaining accurate records.
Adhere to safe chemical handling and disposal procedures as defined by SOPs and material safety data sheets (MSDS).
Ensure the safety of themselves and others by maintaining a safe and orderly environment.
Report to and actively support Manufacturing Manager and processing on a daily basis to ensure attainment of goals and deadlines.
Drive productivity and cost-effective packaging processes and develop innovative plans to achieve optimization.
Work nights and weekends as needed to complete critical tasks.
Other tasks and duties assigned by management.
