About The Position

The Manufacturing Operator is responsible for the efficient flow of incoming materials and the efficient preparation of outgoing materials. This role requires the use of various material handling equipment, ERP systems, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. The operator will utilize an overhead crane to maneuver and stage materials for subsequent operations. A high level of attention to detail, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment are essential for this position.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to pass truck and crane certification with training upon hire
• Ability to read tape measure
• Ability to read a blueprint
• Ability to use hand tools requiring dexterity
• Ability to climb portable ladders
• Ability to communicate effectively with factory supervision

Responsibilities

• Moving materials and components about the factory using carts, pallet jacks, sit-down forklifts, overhead cranes
• Following job orders and blueprints to specifications
• Machine set-ups, operations and maintenance to meet production demands
• Inspection and documentation of work to accurately meet specifications
• Assisting in the loading and unloading of raw materials of various weights and lengths
• Working in a fast-paced high production area with minimal supervision
• Using problem-solving skills to stage and palletize loads in an efficient and cost-effective manner on outbound trailers. This includes skidding, banding, wrapping, and crating product in a way that saves space and time, and ensures loads are protected during transport
• Inspecting incoming/outgoing material for quality, dimensional accuracy, and correct quantities
• All other duties as assigned by management
