About The Position

The Manufacturing Operator I position is responsible for the set-up and continuous operation of all machinery on the shop floor, including presses and/or CDCH coating lines, in compliance with TS16949 and ISO14001 standards. This role involves troubleshooting manufacturing issues to maintain quality, ensuring machines are stocked with material, assisting tooling personnel, performing light machine maintenance, and completing all necessary paperwork and transactions accurately and timely. The operator is also responsible for general housekeeping and adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible to set-up and change over production machinery including die set-up and material changes
  • Responsible for continuous operation of machinery in order to eliminate any unnecessary downtime
  • Able to operate all presses and/or CDCH coating operations consisting of prep, coating, sheet separating and de-framing of gaskets while also maintaining rate that is part specific
  • Able to troubleshoot manufacturing issues in order to maintain quality standards
  • Responsible to make sure each machine is stocked with material throughout the shift
  • Assist tooling personnel in correcting any potential issues with a die
  • Able to provide light maintenance on machines or a die including but not limited to oiling and greasing
  • Responsible to complete all paperwork, documentation, and BPCS transactions accurately and timely
  • Responsible to assist in general housekeeping of the department
  • Responsible to adhere to all company safety policies and procedures while also maintaining a safe work environment at all times
  • Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned
  • Must adhere to all company and location policies and safety rules
  • Must be able to work extended hours when required
  • All other duties as assigned
