About The Position

The Manufacturing Operator performs a wide variety of electronic, electro-mechanical, mechanical or measurement product assembly operations on product components, assemblies or sub-assemblies. Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering, cable harnessing, welding and fitting on assembly units. Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications. Works within standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods with a moderate degree of supervision. This role will be an integral part of the Reagent Large Bottles Department. You are executing the process of assembly, filling, labeling & packaging equipment of varying complexity and in accordance with production manufacturing records, operating procedure requirements to produce finished intermediates and final kits while meeting production targets. You are capable of basic transactions within highly complex systems and controls in a regulated manufacturing environment (e.g. receive, process, build product/materials, facilitate material availability, SAP transactions/confirmations). You are running automated systems/equipment and sequences of operation, including: equipment setup, operation, and cleaning; monitoring and performing basic troubleshooting. You are participating in the execution of protocol/validations. You have the ability to be a subject matter expert (SME) in one or more areas of production. Contributes to daily end of shift reports and pass downs.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • 2+ years relevant work experience, preferably in GMP environment.
  • Experience with automated manufacturing equipment in a regulated environment, validated software systems used to maintain Quality, Inventory and Processes.
  • Familiarity with sensors, motors, cylinders, etc., and with use of hand tools and test equipment.
  • Experience with SAP required.

  • Demonstrated experience with Lean / Continuous Improvement
  • Experience with Google products (gMail, gSheets, gDoc, etc), preferred
  • Ability to use precision tools
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving and analytical skills
