About The Position

MilliporeSigma in Bellefonte, PA is seeking a Manufacturing Operator 2. In this role you will follow written instructions to manufacture, package, and label SPE (solid phase extraction) products.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

Good communication and organizational skills
5+ years of work experience in a fast-paced industrial setting
5+ years of experience working with semi-automated manufacturing equipment
Prior experience operating lab equipment such as: balances, labelers, vacuum pumps, ovens, evaporators, and glove boxes
High attention to detail
Proficiency with computers
Ability to work independently or in small groups
Ability to write legibly
Basic math skills

Responsibilities

Complete in-process inspections and prepare samples for QC, as needed
Generate and maintain batch records
Operate and assist in maintaining and troubleshooting lab equipment, including automated production equipment
Maintain accurate record of raw material inventory and request supplies at established levels
Identify opportunities to improve processes and assist with simple experiments to increase yield, improve product quality, and/or develop new products
Perform general maintenance and cleaning of work areas and laboratory equipment
Take part in and contribute to a safe working environment by following corporate and departmental safety regulations
