About The Position

The Manufacturing Operations Technician is responsible for performing receiving, in‑process, and system‑level testing of electro‑mechanical and fluid‑control assemblies to verify performance, reliability, and compliance. This role conducts detailed troubleshooting, mechanical inspections, and root‑cause analysis while supporting Engineering, Quality, and Development teams during new product introduction and transition to serial production. The Technician also contributes to process improvements, equipment qualification, technical documentation, and cross‑training efforts to strengthen overall manufacturing performance.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and electro‑mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and test procedures.
  • Hands‑on proficiency with diagnostic and test equipment (multimeters, scopes, gauges, etc.).
  • Experience performing system‑level, functional, and performance testing.
  • Strong troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis abilities.
  • Ability to assess failures, identify patterns, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Detail‑oriented with high accuracy in test execution and documentation.
  • Effective teamwork with Engineering, Development, Production, and Quality.
  • Strong communication skills for documenting findings and presenting data‑driven insights.
  • Ability to contribute to NPI activities and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Skilled at writing, editing, and maintaining technical documentation.
  • Comfortable contributing to validation, equipment qualification, and process improvement efforts.
  • Organized, methodical, and consistent in following procedures and updating documentation.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with evolving product designs and priorities.
  • Engages in continuous improvement efforts to refine processes and reduce variation.
  • Open to learning new tools, methods, and technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Perform receiving, in‑process, and system‑level testing to verify product performance and compliance.
  • Test, troubleshoot, and verify assemblies, wiring, and subsystems using standard diagnostic and test equipment.
  • Conduct mechanical inspections, functional testing, and root‑cause analysis on electro‑mechanical assemblies.
  • Support mechanical failure analysis and provide feedback to improve assembly processes, hardware design, and manufacturability.
  • Collaborate with Development and Engineering teams during new product introduction, pilot builds, and transition to serial production.
  • Provide input on test results, failure trends, and design improvements for enhanced product robustness and manufacturability.
  • Assist with equipment qualification, process validation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support the Quality team in resolving supplier quality issues and addressing nonconformances.
  • Develop, write, and revise technical documentation, including work instructions, test procedures, technical papers, and presentation materials.
  • Edit and update Work Instructions to ensure clarity, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Contribute to team knowledge sharing and cross‑training efforts to improve organizational technical capability.
  • Help maintain and improve testing systems, fixtures, and processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and throughput.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
