We are looking for a Manufacturing Operations Project Manager to join our team in one of today's most exciting technologies. This role will report to the Manufacturing Operations Project Manager and will be based in Fremont, CA . This is a fully on-site, in office role 5 days a week. As a Manufacturing Operations Project Manager at Bloom Energy, you will be a key driver of manufacturing execution excellence, supporting equipment installs, production launches, capacity expansions, and facilities-heavy workstreams that are critical to meeting our ambitious time-to-power delivery commitments. You will work across cross-functional teams to execute projects safely, on schedule, and with minimal impact to ongoing operations — ensuring Bloom’s manufacturing environment is prepared for high-volume production and sustainable growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or similar) or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • 5-6 years of project engineering or project management experience in a manufacturing or industrial operations environment.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting equipment installations, line launches, or production expansions.
  • Practical understanding of construction coordination, contractor management, and on-site execution.
  • Knowledge of facilities permitting, inspections, and compliance processes.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams, including Executive level team members

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in energy, automotive, semiconductor, or high-volume manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with commissioning, startup, and production ramp activities.
  • Experience managing A/E firms and General Contractors.
  • Proficiency with project scheduling and tracking tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Primavera).
  • Lean/continuous improvement experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead facilities-intensive execution workstreams required for equipment installation, infrastructure upgrades, and line readiness.
  • Coordinate daily execution across Manufacturing Operations, Facilities Engineering, EHS, Maintenance, and Construction partners.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, cost, and risk with a strong focus on minimizing production impact.
  • Conduct and lead Owner–Architect–Contractor (OAC) and cross-functional status meetings.
  • Oversee Architects/Engineers (A/E) and General Contractors (GCs) throughout construction and handover phases.
  • Be the “go to” person for all questions and/or requests related to specific programs
  • Support on-time and disruption-free launches of equipment installation, commissioning activities, and production ramp readiness.
  • Plan and execute work to maintain safety, quality, and operational standards aligned with Bloom’s manufacturing expectations.
  • Track execution progress and communicate clear, actionable status updates to leadership.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to elevate launch execution and standard work.
