About The Position

Manufacturing Operations Analyst Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking a Manufacturing Operations Analysts (Level 4) to join the BSC Stability & Performance Team located in North Charleston, South Carolina on 1st Shift. Leads complex group work sessions selecting and using advanced Lean principles, processes and tools to implement the Boeing Production System for internal or external customers. Conducts assessments of processes and practices for comparison to applicable standards and criteria. Analyzes and interprets data. Provides feedback on assessment results and identifies opportunities for improvement and potential areas of risk. Works with organizations to develop strategies, plans and metrics to achieve business objectives. Works at the appropriate level in the organization to implement strategies and plans. Works under minimal direction. Position Responsibilities: Leads complex group work sessions selecting and using advanced Lean principles, processes and tools to implement the Boeing Production System for internal or external customers Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals Coordinates with support teams to perform observations and improvements to the production system Assists in site expansion activities as 787 program continues rate breaks and site expansion Conducts assessments of processes and practices for comparison to applicable standards and criteria Analyzes and interprets data Provides feedback on assessment results and identifies opportunities for improvement and potential areas of risk Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and partners Works with organizations to develop strategies, plans and metrics to achieve business objectives Works at the appropriate level in the organization to implement strategies and plans Works under minimal direction

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience implementing lean manufacturing principles
  • 5+ years of experience working in manufacturing environment
  • 5+ years of experience leading stakeholders in analysis of process data, metrics, models and flows to identify root cause of complex problems and development and implementation of preventive or corrective actions
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and Strong drive for process improvement
  • Able to work any shift based on the needs of the operation
  • 5+ years of experience in an aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing environment
  • 5+ years of implementing improvement projects
  • 5+ years of experience using LEAN Manufacturing and/or continuous improvement practices and tools in the workplace
  • 5+ years of experience communicating to employees, customers, peers, and multiple levels of leadership
  • 5+ years of experience using Microsoft Products like Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

Nice To Haves

  • 10+ years of experience using lean manufacturing and/or continuous improvement practices and tools
  • Experience working in Manufacturing Support Organizations (LSCC, Supply Chain, Engineering, Work Place Coaching)
  • Understanding of One BPS process and principles
  • Prior Production experience
  • Experience with leading and influencing cross-functional teams
  • Experience with coaching, guiding and leading teams
  • Experience in a role that requires effective interpersonal communication skills that supports collaboration of team members
  • Experience with Quality Management Systems and/or One Boeing Production System (One BPS)
  • Prior Production experience
