About The Position

This position can be based at any of our US IT Hubs including Beachwood, OH, Moon Township, PA, Raleigh, NC, Menomonee Falls, WI, Galesburg, MI, or Houston, TX. 25% travel is expected, but this will fluctuate higher in time. Candidates must be within 50 miles of these locations as relocation assistance is not available. This leader identifies key AI opportunities, defines business impact, secures executive investment, and oversees end-to-end execution and value realization. Building trusted relationships with executive leaders across the electrical and industrial sectors, this role acts as a strategic partner, translating business goals into tailored AI and automation solutions. Accountable for multiple, high-profile strategic initiatives with regular executive interaction, the leader collaborates closely across IT teams and serves as a key member of the AI Council's Innovation workstream—providing frequent updates and participating in investment reviews. Develop, execute, and take ownership of key strategic AI and business process transformation initiatives. Use design thinking methods and lead sessions with various business units and senior leaders to uncover challenges and needs, and develop innovative solutions to address them. Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, and employee engagement to drive learning and achieve business outcomes across the organization. Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels—from the shop floor to senior executives—making technical concepts easy to understand for all employees and championing the benefits of new technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 10 years of experience leading a major program, transformation, or other digital related leadership experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience within a complex, multinational organization
  • Experience within the manufacturing industry and comfortability working within manufacturing plants
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and paradigms such as Physical AI, Simulation, Automation, Cobots, AI/ML, Generative AI, Agentic AI, Digital Twins, Vision AI, and adapt to emerging trends.
  • Skilled in analyzing data across domains to uncover trends and inform strategic decisions.
  • Capable of defining and delivering minimum viable products, with a willingness to pivot or discontinue projects when necessary; embraces the opportunity to fail and learn from experimentation.
  • Effective at collaborating with diverse cultures, functions, and regions, and adept at engaging both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrates strong curiosity, creativity, and the ability to engage with all organizational levels, including senior executives.
  • Proficient in agile methodologies, including Scrum and/or Kanban, with hands-on experience in delivery teams.
  • Working knowledge of DevSecOps and modern technology architecture principles, including APIs, microservices, and cloud services.
  • Extensive expertise across multiple business functions such as Finance, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, Sales, and Marketing.
  • Experienced in taking new and emerging technologies from proof of concept through to full production deployment.
  • Demonstrated success with artificial intelligence initiatives, including machine learning and generative AI.
  • Proficient in English, both verbal and written
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information to technical and non-technical audiences, including executives; develop effective communication strategies and persuade diverse stakeholders, reconciling different perspectives to resolve conflicts.

  • Postgraduate degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 2 years of demonstrated experience focused on AI leadership, strategy, or execution
  • Additional language skills are a plus.
