About The Position

As the Plant Manufacturing Manager, you will oversee all aspects of plant operations to ensure production schedules are met with high-quality products, delivered on time and within budget, while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. By effectively managing production and departmental leaders, you will drive performance, optimize processes, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field preferred or equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 8+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience, demonstrating effective leadership and operational management.
  • Strong leadership and relationship-building skills to foster collaboration and team success.
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement and maintain professional competence in all areas of manufacturing operations.
  • Strong administrative and managerial capabilities, including employee development, budget management, safety compliance, and performance measurement.
  • Ability to speak, hear, and see (both near and far).
  • Ability to withstand frequent head/neck movement, rotation, flexion, and extension.
  • Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, twist, reach.
  • Ability to sit, crouch, kneel, lift, push, and pull.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure production and shipping schedules are met in alignment with cost, quality, and safety standards.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to departmental team leaders, reinforcing company values, policies, and performance expectations.
  • Coordinate plant activities with department managers to achieve manufacturing objectives efficiently and cost-effectively.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure optimal efficiency and adherence to operational goals.
  • Manage departmental budgets, controlling labor, overtime, premium freight, and repair expenses.
  • Enforce company safety programs and policies to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Quality Assurance teams to enhance maintenance processes and resolve quality concerns.
  • Establish and track plant performance metrics for production efficiency and quality assurance.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, leveraging lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of production and job time records.
