About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for Manufacturing Managers (Level K) to support the 737 team onsite in Renton, Washington on 1st and/or 2nd shift. A manager in this role will develop cross-functional partnerships to achieve team and program goals while developing a work environment that promotes accountability, trust, teamwork, quality and safety. This role will lead a team of 10+ people.

Requirements

  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership."
  • 3+ years of experience in an aerospace, fabrication or manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years of experience using continuous improvement tools and techniques
  • 3+ years of experience using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Willing and able to work any shift (may be selected for 1st or 2nd shift)

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal role
  • 3+ years of experience with Quality Management Systems and/or One Boeing Production System (BPS)
  • 3+ years of experience working on the 737 program

Responsibilities

  • Manages employees performing activities in multiple manufacturing disciplines
  • Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies
  • Acquires resources, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees
