About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to join our team! The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for the execution of all manufacturing and ongoing servicing of our medical device. The Manufacturing Manager’s focus will include the general supervision and continuous improvement of physical production, receiving, shipping, facilities, and equipment maintenance while maintaining compliance with industry regulations. This is a full-time, onsite opportunity, reporting directly to the Director of Engineering and Manufacturing.

Requirements

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment plus 3 to 7 years of management experience required.
  • Experience managing a team of 50-100 technical and assembly personnel.
  • Strong knowledge of medical device manufacturing processes, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. (FDA, OSHA, ISO, GMP)
  • Experience in mechanical and electrical assembly and product manufacturing required.
  • Previous experience with ERP systems, required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft 365 (Excel)
  • Effective leadership, decision-making, and project management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to coach and motivate team members.

Nice To Haves

  • Netsuite experience preferred.
  • Lean manufacturing experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the production floor and two remote repair facilities.
  • Establish and communicate daily, weekly, and monthly objectives to the manufacturing teams.
  • Collaborate in the development of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and track metrics.
  • Develop workflow policies and procedures that improve efficiency without compromising safety or quality.
  • Establish a balance between increased productivity and reduced costs of manufacturing operations.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with industry standards and regulations, including ISO and FDA requirements.
  • Communicate regularly with senior management regarding problems or issues impacting production.
  • Prepare and present weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports on manufacturing performance, labor efficiencies, and areas for improvement to senior management.
  • Work closely with the engineering team to implement product/manufacturing improvements and provide testing/prototype building support when required.
  • Evaluate resources to ensure continued production with minimal downtime.
  • Drive a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement among the manufacturing team.
  • Develop department budget and maintain team performance.
