About The Position

Manufacturing Manager Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for Manufacturing Managers (Level K) to support the 777-X Horizonal Build Line and Service Ready Wing team in Everett, WA. This position is for 1st and 2nd shift and will be determined at the time of offer. Successful candidates will have strong interpersonal and coaching skills, which will further empower our business unit to adopt and enhance our value-based culture, optimize tools, and improve key performance indicators. Manufacturing Operations fosters a culture centered on safety and first-pass quality, requiring leaders at all levels to be dedicated to the success of our team members. Ensuring a FOD-free product and maintaining a clean workspace are crucial for maintaining compliance and require a steadfast commitment to our standards, our people, and our customers. This role focuses on supporting our teammates and peers in advancing our business while remaining true to our core values.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in an aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years of experience leading cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years of experience using LEAN Manufacturing and/or Continuous Improvement practices and tools in the workplace
  • Experience using Incident Injury Free concepts or Behavior Base Safety concepts
  • This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
  • This position is expected to be 100% onsite.

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years of experience managing Key Performance Indicators within Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Manufacturing data
  • 1+ years of experience using Boeing Production System (BPS)
  • Must be adaptable and able to execute with urgency

Responsibilities

  • Manages employees performing activities in multiple manufacturing disciplines
  • Develops and executes business plans, policies, and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies
  • Acquires resources, provides technical management of suppliers, and leads process improvements
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees
