Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/medtech Purpose: The Manufacturing Manager leads a team of individual contributors and supervisors responsible for daily manufacturing operations. This leader ensures safe, reliable, and efficient production while developing the team, optimizing processes, and supporting product maturity. The role reports to the Director, Manufacturing Site Leader, and serves as a key partner to cross functional stakeholders across Supply Chain, Engineering, and Quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Operations Management, Business, Manufacturing, or related field—or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of manufacturing experience, including 3+ years in a manager role.
  • Demonstrated success leading teams in a high- complex , fast-paced production environment.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Proven ability to introduce and sustain operational improvements.
  • Experience with ERP/MES systems and data-driven operations management.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in capital equipment, high-tech, electromechanical hardware, semiconductor, medical device, or complex robotics manufacturing.
  • Six Sigma certification or Lean Manufacturing training and/or certification.
  • Experience supporting NPI through volume ramp up, especially in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily manufacturing operations to achieve safety, quality, output, and cost targets in a fast‑growing environment.
  • Apply strong technical and electromechanical manufacturing expertise to resolve issues, improve processes, and support product maturity.
  • Allocate resources effectively and ensure robust training, coaching, and development for the production team.
  • Standardize and scale manufacturing processes to improve throughput, yield, and operational efficiency.
  • Evaluate production performance and drive continuous improvement, including adoption of new tools and technologies.
  • Partner cross‑functionally to maintain alignment on build readiness, issue resolution, and operational priorities.
  • Provide hands‑on leadership that fosters a culture of trust, accountability, and continuous improvement.
