About The Position

The Manufacturing Logistics Manager leads warehouse operations, shipping/receiving, and internal material flow within a custom manufacturing environment. This role ensures raw materials, components, and finished goods move safely, accurately, and efficiently from receipt through production to final shipment. This position oversees inventory movement, line-side delivery to fabrication and assembly, and shipping execution, while driving continuous improvement across all material flow processes. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong operational discipline, experience managing hourly teams, and a track record of improving flow, organization, and execution in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Requirements

  • Pass pre-employment drug screen, acceptable background check results including criminal history.
  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations, or work experience in related field / role.
  • 5+ years of warehouse, logistics, or materials leadership, as well as supervision experience.
  • Individuals must have good written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems and inventory management processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to manage inventory transactions, track material movement, and support operational reporting through system tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and material handling equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily warehouse activities including receiving, put-away, storage, picking, staging, shipping, and cycle counting
  • Ensure accurate inventory transactions and maintain strong location control, labeling, and traceability
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient warehouse environment
  • Optimize layout, space utilization, and material flow
  • Manage inbound and outbound shipments (LTL, truckload, flatbed, parcel, and project-based)
  • Coordinate deliveries with suppliers and purchasing
  • Prepare shipping documentation including bills of lading and packing lists
  • Ensure on-time shipments while reducing freight issues, damages, and expedited costs
  • Own internal material movement across the facility
  • Ensure timely delivery of raw materials, kits, and components to production areas
  • Improve WIP flow and staging of large or custom projects
  • Support production by minimizing downtime related to material availability
  • Lead, train, and develop warehouse and material handling team members
  • Set daily priorities and monitor performance
  • Drive accountability for safety, quality, productivity, and attendance
  • Support hiring, coaching, and performance management
  • Develop and maintain standard work and operating procedures
  • Standardize key processes across receiving, picking, replenishment, and shipping
  • Use visual management tools to improve execution and consistency
  • Identify and implement process improvements
