Your role as a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician As a new Manufacturing Maintenance Technician at Flextrude, you can expect to perform routine maintenance checks on machinery, ensuring all equipment operates efficiently. Your daily responsibilities will include troubleshooting mechanical issues, conducting repairs, and documenting maintenance activities to maintain accurate logs. You will collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and enhance workflow. Your schedule will typically be Monday through Friday, Day Shift, from 7 am to 3 pm, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic. Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required to meet production demands, providing you with opportunities to further develop your skills. Experience with preventive maintenance practices and familiarity with pneumatics and hydraulics is crucial for ensuring optimal machinery performance. Basic to intermediate electrical troubleshooting skills, particularly with sensors, switches, and control wiring, will be vital for daily operations. You should be adept at reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and schematics, as well as welding and fabrication skills to assist with repairs and modifications. Proficiency in PLC/VFD and automation systems will also enhance your contribution to the team. Additionally, maintaining thorough maintenance documentation and adhering to safety compliance standards are key responsibilities. Strong problem-solving skills, coupled with the ability to work independently or collaboratively, will help you thrive in this role.
