About The Position

As the Manufacturing Logistics Manager, you will serve as the architect of Base’s global inbound supply chain. This is a high-impact role responsible for designing and scaling a world-class logistics network that supports our rapid production growth. You will not just manage shipments; you will own the end-to-end strategic roadmap for material flow, international trade positioning, and total landed cost optimization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
  • 5+ years of experience in global supply chain management, logistics strategy, or procurement, specifically within a high-growth manufacturing or hardware environment.
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing scalable global logistics networks, including the selection and onboarding of strategic 3PL and freight partners.
  • Deep expertise in international trade law, global HS classification programs, and the strategic application of trade agreements to optimize landed costs.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools for supply chain modeling, alongside extensive experience managing logistics modules within ERP/MRP systems, proficiency in SQL preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate complex, multi-year service level agreements (SLAs) with global carriers and influence senior stakeholders on supply chain risk mitigation.
  • A strong alignment with Base’s core values—specifically the ability to question industry assumptions and operate at "Base Pace" to solve complex infrastructure challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive global logistics strategy that optimizes speed, cost, and risk across air, ocean, and ground transportation modes.
  • Design and own global material tracking systems and SOPs while proactively monitoring inbound shipments and leading real-time escalations for in-transit risks such as customs holds, port congestion, or damage to ensure on-time delivery for production.
  • Lead the selection, onboarding, and ongoing management of logistics partners - including freight forwarders, 3PLs, and customs brokers - to support rapid scaling requirements.
  • Define and manage the international trade and compliance framework, including HS classification programs and the strategic use of trade agreements to minimize duty exposure.
  • Own the logistics budget and drive continuous improvement through data-driven analysis of shipping lanes, lead times, costs, and carrier performance.
