About The Position

The Manufacturing Inventory Clerk is responsible for managing and maintaining the supply crib and related inventory across the facility. This role ensures that essential manufacturing supplies—including maintenance parts, PPE, and other critical items—are properly organized, stocked, and readily accessible. Key responsibilities include implementing and sustaining 5S standards within the maintenance area and all associated cribs, coordinating with vendors to maintain optimal inventory levels, and performing system updates within the CMMS software as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, facilities, or industrial environment.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong safety mindset and commitment to regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, stoop, and work in confined spaces as needed.
  • Ability to work on ladders, elevated platforms, and in varying environmental conditions (indoor/outdoor).
  • Willingness to work occasional overtime, weekends, or on-call shifts.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Crib Organization: Maintain the maintenance crib and tool inventory, ensuring proper organization and stock levels for efficient access.
  • Inventory Control: Establish and monitor minimum and maximum inventory levels for each part number, including accurate labeling for streamlined management.
  • System Management: Utilize CMMS software to track and maintain accurate spare parts inventory.
  • Vendor Coordination: Work closely with suppliers and contractors to ensure timely replenishment of materials and support specialized maintenance and repair projects.
  • Preset Area Support: Oversee the preset area, including bottling spears, and ensure jobs are pre-staged to minimize downtime and improve changeover efficiency.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive 5S initiatives and maintain sustainability practices within all maintenance areas and cribs.
