The Manufacturing Intern supports the Manufacturing team by contributing to strategic initiatives, operational projects, and day-to-day business activities. This role is designed to provide meaningful, hands-on experience in a professional pharmaceutical environment, offering exposure to cross-functional collaboration, business processes, and industry best practices. The Manufacturing team supports end to end drug substance and drug product operations, with a strong focus on technology transfer, vendor management, and data driven decision making. The Manufacturing Intern will help develop tools to help internal teams move manufacturing between sites, assist in evaluating manufacturing vendors, and contribute to data collection and analysis frameworks that strengthen risk assessment and operational decision processes. Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical or Pharmaceutical engineering.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred.
  • Strong analytical mindset
  • Basic understanding of GMP / regulated environments — not required
  • Familiarity with process flow diagrams, mass balance, or unit operation
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-based environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior internship, leadership experience, campus involvement, or project-based work preferred.
  • Interest in the pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology industry strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret trends, compare datasets, and support risk assessment activities.
  • Draft clear summaries, data logs, and structured notes for tech transfer tools.
  • Work with cross functional teams Manufacturing, Supply Chain, QA, and external vendors.
  • Review vendor data or evaluating process risks.
  • Draft tech transfer tools that will be used by multi-disciplinary teams to support and coordinate technology transfers.
  • Prepare a vendor assessment tool (in excel) to support with evaluating vendors.
  • Participates in team meetings, planning sessions, and strategic discussions to gain exposure to business operations and contribute insights where appropriate.
  • Demonstrates professionalism, accountability, and alignment with company values in all interactions.
  • Completes a capstone project or final presentation summarizing internship contributions and key learnings (if applicable).
